Providers of vehicle advertising, outdoor advertising and DOOH
Eight providers covering vehicle advertising, outdoor media and DOOH, with documented campaign examples and questions for your next enquiry.

Road Media includes services ranging from branding your own van to booking space on a scheduled bus. This overview helps identify the relevant type of supplier. It is an editorial selection, not a complete directory or ranking. Descriptions draw on the linked official websites; our planning interpretations are identified separately.
Which service do you need?
- Branding your own fleet: compare design, material, installation and replacement from a graphics installer rather than rental of third-party space. Example: INTAX.
- Booking other vehicles: media owners supply truck, bus or rail advertising. Area, booking format and duration matter. Examples: PLAKAT AM LKW, Ströer and SD Gruppe.
- A presence in the street: plan specific sites or networks for posters, city lights, directional media and giant posters. Examples: MOPLAK, WallDecaux and blowUP media.
- Digital inventory: consider the screen setting, creative format, times and buying model. Examples: Cittadino, WallDecaux and blowUP media.
These areas overlap. Start with the task rather than a provider's size or reputation. For local activity, a suitable site may matter more than a nationwide offer. Our Road Media introduction explains the basics.
Eight providers in editorial context
The profiles are grouped by focus. Confirm regional availability and services directly. Inclusion is not based on our own commissions or performance testing.
PLAKAT AM LKW
Provider's offer: rear panels, full branding with sides and rear, and side advertising on urban trucks. Its formats distinguish regional and city deployments from national and cross-border areas.
Our perspective: suitable for investigating advertising on third-party trucks. Ask about committed coverage, operating days and documentation. Media-data contacts do not equal unique people or purchase interest.
Ströer
Provider's offer: exterior and interior transit advertising, including full and partial wraps and individual surfaces. Its transit planner supports location and format enquiries.
Our perspective: an option for campaigns along everyday journeys. Request the actual inventory in your area and clarify whether production, installation and removal are included.
SD Gruppe
Provider's offer: transit planning and implementation through regional companies, with design and campaign support. It also describes shorter activities using traffic boards or rear panels.
Our perspective: a potential contact for coordinating design and media buying. Discuss catchment areas and whether particular routes, depots or vehicle types can be agreed.
INTAX
Provider's offer: fleet graphics and wraps across vehicle models, including logos, text and printed film. The Oldenburg business describes new-vehicle integration and a nationwide installer network.
Our perspective: this concerns implementation on your vehicles. Comparable quotes need vehicle lists, views, artwork, material requirements and intended duration.
MOPLAK
Provider's offer: traditional posters, long-term advertising, customer guidance and transit media. Its poster range includes mobile formats; planning tools help find sites and vehicles.
Our perspective: an option for combining fixed presence with mobile media. For mobile deployments, clarify places, staffing and responsibility for site permissions.
WallDecaux
Provider's offer: traditional city-light panels and digital media in German cities, with networks, individual sites or programmatic buying depending on product. Its portfolio also includes Berlin transit media.
Our perspective: assess urban campaigns with specific location and timing requirements. Compare agreed delivery and audience methods alongside screen counts.
blowUP media
Provider's offer: giant posters, digital screens and motorway advertising towers. It is part of the Ströer group and is listed separately for its own large-format offer.
Our perspective: relevant when one location or large image should define the campaign. Check sightlines, distance recognition, photographs and production costs early.
Cittadino
Provider's offer: digital displays at airports, motorway locations, shopping centres and SANIFAIR facilities, including networks and programmatic options in Germany.
Our perspective: investigate when a travel or shopping situation fits the message. Ask for actual placements and screen settings. A service-area interior and a surface visible to a driver have different viewing conditions.
Two documented campaigns and their lessons
These implementations are publicly described by the providers involved. They are not roadmedia.de projects or independent effectiveness evidence. Original photographs are available on the linked project pages.
Smackofatz: a regional identity on a scheduled bus
Documented work: SD Gruppe presents a fully wrapped bus for catering provider Smackofatz, used for image advertising on the Schwedt–Prenzlau regional service at the company's launch.
Our interpretation: a regional business and regional medium fit together. For your brief, ask whether committed vehicle routes match your service area. A consistent design across surfaces can hold the identity together.
Limit: the account reports no independently verified incremental enquiries or sales. It documents implementation rather than financial success.
Impacc: a social issue at giant scale
Documented work: blowUP media describes a campaign launched in early July 2026 on giant posters in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. The creative addresses entrepreneurship in Africa; the provider names neighbourhood and station locations.
Our interpretation: it combines an organisation needing explanation with a clear visual idea. Which one message should remain understandable from a distance, and which detail belongs on the linked website?
Limit: reduced special terms were reported, so no regular campaign price can be inferred. The account supplies no independent impact evidence.
A clear brief makes offers easier to compare
Give each provider the same core information before comparing prices.
- Objective and audience: awareness, an opening, recruitment or a short activity? What should people know or do?
- Area and period: locations, catchment, start and duration. Distinguish preferred sites from commitments.
- Budget and scope: itemise media, design, production, installation, changes and removal. Include downtime and later rewrapping for owned vehicles.
- Creative and approval: request views of actual surfaces. Account for vehicle doors, windows, joints and rears, and screen-specific requirements.
- Documentation: request installation photos or delivery records, outage contacts and replacement terms.
- Evaluation: agree measurements beforehand. Technical delivery, modelled opportunities, recall and incremental sales are different units.

How this selection was prepared
We selected eight providers with publicly verifiable service descriptions covering different areas of the publication. The order follows media types and is not a quality ranking. Sources are the linked official service and project pages. We did not test capability, service quality or campaign results through our own commissions; the interpretation and briefing questions are editorial.
This edition includes no paid placement, affiliate links or promised reciprocal links. Mention does not create a partnership. The selection remains open to other suitable providers, including regional specialists. Confirm availability, prices and terms directly.
